Season One: Sign, Sealed, Delivered, Now Yours

Like a flash of spring-time lightning, Long Island Stage went from idea to Episode 1 in less than two months.

In our six-week season, over the course of our six episodes, we had a reach of 40,000 plus. Audience members tuned in from around the world. We had 1000 plus watchers per episode when live and streamed viewings were combined within 24 to 40 hours after each broadcast: an auspicious beginning.

Our short-term mission accomplished -- twelve Long Island acts played to audiences as their performances streamed onto devices and into homes for an hour or more each week. Their performance drought was for a short time ended, and we are thrilled now that the cloudburst of live audience shows has started for everyone.

Our expectation – to see you all again on the other side of summer. We reviewed the season and its data. So, season two will feature improvements to enhance the show: expect interview format changes and thematically focused episodes.

Thank you to all our viewers, artists, sponsors, and followers for joining us and making Season 1 a success. And, of course, a special thank you to Ramona’s Gift to Music for taking on the Long Island Stage project and providing support.

While the show is on hiatus, the BLOG WILL GO ON with updates about our alumni performers and brief pieces on Long Island music and musicians. Drop by when you are browsing for a music fix, and remember all past episodes remain archived and ready to watch.
